Course Overview: The course will educate insurance agents on medical and dental tourism in Mexico as a viable option for their clients to access high-quality, cost-effective healthcare. It will also cover how agents’ customers can utilize U.S. employee benefits, such as FSAs, HSAs in Mexico. The course will cover what kinds of U.S. dental insurance and medical insurance plans provide coverage in Mexico.
Participants will also learn about the safety, quality, and financial benefits of seeking medical and dental treatments in Mexico. In addition, participants will understand accreditation standards for Mexican healthcare facilities and providers.

Speaker: Mark Popejoy - President, SecureCare Group Insurance

Mark Popejoy is President of SecureCare Group Insurance. SecureCare helps protect employees with group dental, vision, life, disability, Travel Assistance and EAP benefits. Mark has been with SecureCare since January of 1996. He helped take SecureCare from a single-line dental insurance company to a multi-line ancillary carrier offering a broad range of employee benefits. Mark led the development of SecureCare’s U.S. – Mexico Dental Network, coordinating the cross-border claims adjudication, member eligibility, provider fees, plan designs, credentialing standards and language translations. SecureCare’s US-Mexico dental network is included in on all SecureCare Dental plans. Mark enjoys traveling through Mexico with his wife, Miriam, who is originally from Guadalajara, Mexico.
